Description

Danielle Galand was born in 1955. A Maghreb African for the first years of her life, she returns to Africa, but this time Black Africa, many years later. Colors, odors, beautiful landscapes, the handsomeness and the smile of the Africans are an enchantment to her and bring her back to her nomadic origins. The grand-daughter of a sailor, the daughter of well-travelled parents, her steps took her from Britanny to South and East Europe, to Africa, and recently to Asia. She dropped her anchor in America in 2005 and left for Lebanon for three years. From her travels in the Middle East she got new inspirations.

For her, painting is a way to gather and mix the beautiful images of her life and an important means of escape. Creating jewelry is for her another way to express herself.
