Description

Blade 3.25"L, Handle 4.5"L, 1" W. Sheath 11.5"L. Knife handle is Iowa Honey Locust. The blade is laminated steel, forged by Jorn Lund of Denmark. The sheath is constituted with half-tanned leather and American Holly--the whitest wood in the world. Scott designed the sheath and belt loop into a single piece of leather eliminating a weak transition from loop to sheath. The American Holly is kolrosed with Sami-style designs. Scott added, "This knife was inspired by the knives of the Sami from Northern Scandinavia. The back represents four of life's essentials--food, water, shelter, and a good, sharp knife." Blade branded with JL. Sheath is numbered by the artist. Artist: Scott Johnson, Vesterheim Gold Medal knifemaker and wood carver.
