Artist: John Hutchinson

John is a well known Chatham artist and author of children's books

"This whimsical structure was conceived by three Chatham wind surfers. During its six years of existence their tribute to the sea has become something of a local icon. It has it's own Facebook page--Occupy Chatham South Beach-- and is a popular tourist attraction. If you scrutinize the shack you will find hidden about its premises the names both of its three creators and the artist's family."
