"In the Breeze" Handmade Quilt
Designed and Quilted by Nell Mays, April 2014
Searching my stash to make another quilt when spotted these fabrics. Out of boredom thought I'd experiment again with making four-patch block in a gradation pattern then decided it needed something extra. One embellishment led to another and the binding fabric also contianed the resulting fussy-cut flowers.
The front has a checkerboard pattern of fabrics in vibrant oranges, yellows, golds and pinks. Fussy flower appliques are in blue tones with rainbow streamers.
The back is a polka dot fabric in vibrant pinks and oranges with a black background, that also appears on the front side.
Overall dimensions: 34"w x 41"h
The quilt has a rod pocket at the top backside for hanging.
