Description

"I have always painted and photographed waves, and the ocean is my favorite personal subject. I consider Carmel my home, artistically, spiritually, every way. Eventually, I hope to become a full-time part of the community again. And both my sons are competitive swimmers."

KATIE KAROSICH credits her parents (who created Bay Publishing) and a fabulous art teacher at Monterey High with setting her on her sculpture-photography-glass blowing, painting trajectory. Early recognitions included two successive California Art Scholarshps, plus awards from the carmel Art Association and the Carl Cherry Foundation. She ultimately graduated from the University of Hawaii with a degree in fine arts. As a Navy wife, Karosich's passion for art has accompanied her on postings around the world. In Spain, she also tried her hand at teaching photography. Her current commissions include seascapes and landmarks on Coronado Island.
