Description
Grown in NTBG's South Shore Garden Nursery, this rare native fan palm native to islands of Niihau and Nihoa. Large palm that grows fairly quickly and is adapted to the sunny lowlands.
The climate-controlled fern lab and greenhouse facilities at the Conservation and Horticulture Center in the McBryde Garden currently produce over 10,000 plants per year.
