About the Artist: Dana Bol has been a visual artist in New York City for 30 years.

She studied avant-garde cinema at the University of Colorado, Boulder with Stan Brakhage engendering a life long passion for expressive cinema and multi-layered imagery. In the early ‘90’s the transition from film to digital offered Ms. Bol a whole new set of tools and she explored motion graphics, animation and compositing. Bol ran two successful commercial editorial and visual effects companies catering to the advertising community in New York City.

Entering Parson’s School of Design in 2006 she took an Associates Degree in experiential space design - an emerging field combining 2D imagery and 3D space. Additionally, Bol focused on drawing and painting culminating in her first solo show at Mart Gallery, Washington CT in 2010, selling 7 pieces and garnering two commissions.

Bol continues to show virtually on multiple on line gallery sites and to receive commissions, recently one from the Netherlands. Ms. Bol’s Studio is a loft on Main Street in the charming village of Cold Spring and visits are welcome upon request.
