Description

The donor described this lamp shade as colored glass rather than stained glass but it is beautiful regardless of the technique used to create it. The main colors are shades of blue and green in a textured glass. It has various motifs throughout the design. On the lower edges there are dragonflies with amber wings (covered with a beautiful metal screen material) and red and yellow bodies. Between the dragonflies are a flower shape in purples and pinks. There are colored glass beads attached to add  variety and interest.  It sounds like all the elements are haphazard but once it is lit up you'll appreciate the piece. It can be hung from the ceiling but the new owner will need to purchase a lamp kit to make that happen. It can also be a shade for a floor or table lamp if they are very sturdy.

The colors in this lamp-shade really come alive when lit!
