The GKB Sandfiller is the most innovative machine for thatch removal and sand backfilling. STEC Equipment is proud to feature a machine that has the ability to verticut, collect dispatched material, and sandfill in the same pass. Perfect for greens applications ranging from na'ive soil renovation to sand cap maintenance. Having a series of three low impact rollers allows it to float on uneven terrain and easily follow the contours of the turf. With a working depth of 2", able to hold over 500 lbs. of sand, this machine is designed to work efficiently without the need to continually refill.

The TopChanger uses waterpower to aerate the soil. When water is injected under high pressure, it makes paths into the soil. This creates aeration holes. These air pores bring oxygen into the soil. The soil then absorbs the water, allowing the TopChanger to aerate without leaving any residue on the sports field. If necessary, the aeration holes can be filled immediately with wet or dry sand. The TopChanger injects the sand deep into the soil, which keeps any residue left on the sports field to a minimum. The Sand increase water and air infiltration and exchange, creating a firmer and more playable surface. The VGR can be used with or without sand and soil improving amendments including fertilizers and liquids with the onboard dosatron.

Donation Stipulations: Location for use must be located in the continental US. Usage of the machine is limited to a weeklong rental and scheduling of use must be discussed with the winning bidder and STEC Equipment. STEC will provide machine and machine setup. STEC will not provide labor or operator during rental. Winner must also provide kiln dry sand for GKB Sandfiller if this machine is chosen for the rental.
