Artist: Melissa Sixma

Melissa was born in Daytona Beach, Florida, and currently resides in Port Orange, Florida with her husband Billy, daughter Lucy, and pet ragdoll cat Tootsie.

She earned her BFA and MFA degrees in textile design from the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia.

Melissa interned and freelanced for fashion brand Lilly Pulitzer’s Print Department from 2012-2014, and has remotely worked full time as their Communications Print Artist since June 2014. She paints all of the Lilly Pulitzer stores, paints live at brand events, and creates artwork for marketing campaigns while at home. Several times a month she also works in the Lilly store on Worth Avenue in Palm Beach, Florida.
