Various styles are crafted using hammered metals, lapidary stone cutting, and the ancient process of lost wax casting. The designs oppose the ideals of mass production and instead intend to highlight the inherent beauty of asymmetry, roughness, austerity, imperfection, and an appreciation of natural materials and organic forms. Amber gathers ideas and inspiration from museums, books, architecture, nature, folklore, family heirlooms and long lost vintage jewelry discovered in flea markets and antique shops. Her designs focus on texture, sculpture, movement, comfort and simplicity. She is fascinated by the stories behind symbolic shapes and imagery, the curious lore and sentimentality of objects and emblems, the past uses and mythologies surrounding gemstones and talismans.  For each piece, a new story begins.
