Soon he was designing his own styles for the likes of Mitzi Gaynor, Diana Ross and The Supremes and The Temptations. And who could forget his two most famous dresses, Carol Burnett's "curtain dress" (complete with rod) from the "Went With the Wind" sketch on The Carol Burnett Show and Cher's 1986 Academy Awards black link-chain dress with feathered headdress.
