Description
Winner may select 5 dishes from the list below or any other preferred Indian dishes, served with basmati rice, naan, mango lassi, and finish with warm gulab jamun! Or, the winner may opt to leave all or part of the selections to the chef (Grandma Bawa) and simply indicate level of spice. Many dishes can be made vegan.
- Chicken curry - chicken cooked in a blend of tomatoes and spices.
- Chicken saag- chicken with fresh spinach cooked in mild spices, fenugreek, and onions
- Saag paneer - fresh spinach cooked with homemade farmer’s cheese, spices, ginger, and cilantro
- Rogan josh - classic lamb curry with garlic, ginger, peppercorns, onions, and saffron
- Seekh kabab - spiced minced turkey rolls prepared on a cast iron grill.
- Vegetable biriyani - an assortment of vegetables mixed with rice and nut
- Prawn and egg curry - prawns and eggs sautéed with onions, ginger, fresh tomatoes, herbs, spices, and saffron
- Dal makhani - black Lentils (Urad) slow cooked in cream sauce with garlic, ginger, cumin, turmeric, and butter
- Chana dal - yellow lentils (Chana Dal) sautéed with garlic, ginger, and turmeric
- Chana Masala - Garbanzao beans in a special brand of spices
Mushroom mutter - mushrooms and peas cooked in assorted spices - Bengan Bhartha - Fresh eggplant baked and cooked with onions, tomatoes, and spices
- Bhindi Masala- Fresh cut okra sauteed with chopped onions, tomatoes, and spices
- Vegetable or meat samosa - crispy triangle shaped puff pastries filled with potatoes, sweet peas, herbs and spices (can include ground turkey if wanted)
- Assorted vegetable pakoras - eggplant, cauliflower, potatoes, spinach, etc. dipped in a chickpea batter
