"I started out years ago as a bread baker, then decided to tackle pies in order to raise money for the schools. On offer is an apple-ginger pie for whenever the winning bidder wishes to have it. If the bidder wishes a different flavour, I'm willing to switch (last year the winning bidder requested a sweet potato pie with spiced whipped cream)."
