For: laughter-loving adults who are members of the WPE community. While we think kids are hilarious, this event is for adults only.   

Join hosts Keara and Kavitha for an afternoon of laughs and learning (and wine!) as we embark on a journey through the world of Improv. Maybe you've done a little improv before, maybe you've thought about it, but were timid, maybe you've never even heard of Improv! This is your chance to learn a little and definitely have a lot of fun. We will go through the basics, play some games and do some exercises, maybe even do some never-before-seen scenes! The focus is generally on comedy, but there are so many real-life translations for improv skills, you'll be astounded. Maybe you need to kick-start brainstorming, or find ways to help with your public speaking… improv helps it all! Whatever your reason for curiosity, you are in for a good time! Get ready to have fun, and maybe even learn something new! Grab a friend, and let's get laughing!

Keara McCarthy has been performing improv for over 12 years, and teaching for over 8 years. She does a weekly show, and teaches 7-week courses at End Games Improv in the Mission. Kavitha Lotun is co-hosting to bring the wine, snacks and cheer to the improv fun!
