Named for an orphaned girl who was herself sickly when taken in by a loving family. She had been caring for an elderly grandmother, doing chores for the neighbours for food for them both. At school she was nicknamed the nurse, because she liked to care for schoolmates who were sick. Now she has nursing qualifications and works in a school!
