A LETTER TO YOU FROM JAMES:

Hello Village of Love community.  My name is James Rutherford and I would like to offer my services for a day.  I am a general contractor and have done most of my work in the West End of Toronto.  I flip homes, complete both major (e.g. additions) and minor (e.g. bathroom) renovations, and simple outdoor projects like decks and fences.

I would like to offer my expertise for an 8 hour day.  Some of my strengths are within carpentry (decks, fences, trim work, framing).  I also do drywall, tiling, painting, flooring and just about anything else.  I can do minor electrical, plumbing and HVAC changes.  Something I really like doing is sitting down with home-owners and taking them through the whole renovating process, how it works and what to expect (costs, timelines, when to engage certain skilled labour, etc.).

I have been supporting the Village of Love since introduced to it by Linda. Meeting the Obaras and learning about this amazing community in Kenya has opened my eyes and heart to how giving people can be.  Please know that I am not trying to solicit business through this auction item! I am hoping to raise funds to help children go to school (and hopefully help you solve a problem(s) or improve your home!!).  I have builders insurance and I am ready to go to work!
