ABOUT THE ARTIST

In 2005, I retired from Penn State, where I was Professor of Agronomy and Assistant Dean of the Graduate School. I began my second career as an artist by taking classes at the Art Alliance in Lemont. I went from sketching to watercolor to oil, which became my favorite medium.

My love of old barns, farms and the rolling countryside of central PA are the inspiration behind my paintings. I am a member of the Farmland Preservation Artists of Central PA, the Art Alliance of Central PA and the Bellefonte Art Museum and Artist Registry. My paintings are featured in the Bellefonte Art Museum's book "Landscapes of Central Pennsylvania" and have been in numerous juried shows including the Southern Alleghenies Museum of Art’s Biennial Show.
