Description

This keepsake box made from ash wood is inspired by Japanese architecture such as the famous Reading Pagoda. It features miter joints at the corners, reinforced with sapele mahogany splines. The interior of the box is lined with soft red velvet fibers.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Donald Black is a 22 year old student at Penn State studying Architectural Engineering. He has been woodworking since he was 13 and throughout high school he completed a woodworking career training program. He spends his summers working at McGinnis Millwork, a local custom cabinet shop.
