Betti graduated from St. Albans High School, Ohio University, and received her Master's Degree in Art Education and completed coursework toward her doctorate degree at Marshall University. Her professional art training was continued at The Ringling School of Art and Design, The Silvermine School of Fine Arts, and in private study with nationally renowned artists. Betti was an art educator, both as a traveling art specialist for the Kanawha County school system and in private practice for 27 years. She served as an Adjunct Faculty member at the West Virginia College of Graduate Studies. She was a charter member of the WV Watercolor Society, Allied Artists of WV, and The National League of American Pen Women.
