Art has always been a major part of my life from early childhood to present day.
Growing up in Chicago I was surrounded by great art. I studied at the Art Institute of Chicago from the age of eight until after high school when I enrolled at the American Academy of Art in Chicago to focus on graphic design and illustration.
Thirty years ago I relocated from Chicago to West Virginia to work as an illustrator for a large paper product manufacturer. I fell in love with the beauty of West Virginia and decided to stay and start a business with my filmmaker husband, Bill Hogan. Together we started Image Associates LLC and iAproductions.
My paintings reflect my love of nature, personal observations, and my fondest memories. Painting is as much a therapy as a joy in my life. It is a way for me to record my thoughts and feelings in a sort of pictorial journal.
I am a proud member of Allied Artists of WV and I have been fortunate enough to win many awards with my work including two purchase awards by the State of West Virginia for its permanent collection.
