Description

11 ½” basket is from the 1950’s on the San Carlos reservation. It is rare because of the saguaro pattern and because it is not twined. This was woven at the end of the era of Apaches doing coiled basketry forever. It is polychrome and the red saguaro fruit comes from the Banana Yucca. The appraisal of value is provided by Terry DeWald, a member of the Antique Tribal Art Dealers Association.
