11 ¼” diameter basket from the 1920’s. This basket depicts an eagle or thunderbird and was woven in the oldest continually inhabited dwelling place in the United States, Oraibi, dating back to 1140 A.D., 300 years before Columbus discovered America. The appraisal of value is provided by Terry DeWald, a member of the Antique Tribal Art Dealers Association.
