Winner will receive a 60-minute reiki session from Reiki Master Paige Temple at Heartwood Integrative Health & Healing. Reiki is a Japanese healing modality for stress and tension relief. It is also helpful for combating the side effects of chemotherapy. The sessions can be used as gift certificates for friends and loved ones. 

What is Reiki and what is it good for?

Reiki (pronounced ray-key) means "universal life energy" in Japanese, and it originated in Japan with a man by the name of Mikao Usui in the late 1800s. Reiki is a gentle modality that promotes the body's natural ability to heal. The client remains fully clothed, and may recline or sit comfortably while the Reiki practitioner works either off the body in the aura or with a light, non-intrusive touch. Clearing and balancing are the main goals - to achieve harmony in all levels of our being: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. On the physical level, Reiki enhances immunity and goes along with all regular medical care. Reiki can speed post-surgical, post-trauma healing, and is an excellent preparation before surgery as well. 

Sessions can be performed in person if client is fully vaccinated.
