Description
Domaine Du Prince, Lou Prince, Cahors Malbec Wine 2014
This wine is a classic originally Malbec curated by Benoit Moline of Petit Vin. The root of Malbec is in Southwest France in Cahors, not as many think in Argentina. Domaine du Prince is one of the oldest most iconic vineyards producing Malbec.
It is a family-owned estate for 3 centuries, land and vines pass from father to son since ancient times.
The Lou Prince is a true gem, an authentic wine, 100% Malbec from 100-year-old vines, hand-picked and green harvest(cluster of grapes selection).
It is a "brilliant robe, steady purple" color. Held up to the light you will not be able to see through the glass. The nose is open, delicate, currant, violet, and a bit of fennel. The mouth has nice volume, velvety tannins with a fruity ending.
The 2014 Lou Prince won the prestigious Gold Leaf award and is on the menu at some of the best French restaurants in Boston.
