Description

Taste of Oakville: PlumpJack 2017 Oakville Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, Groth Winery 2017 Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon + Dolce 2014 Napa Valley Late Harvest Wine

PlumpJack 2017 Oakville Estate Cabernet Sauvignon: The alluring 2017 PlumpJack Estate Cabernet Sauvignon immediately draws you in with fruit aromas of blackberry, blueberry, and black cherry. Savory spice aromas of sage, clove, and nutmeg complement the fruit and bring depth and complexity. These flavors carry over to the palate, which has a rich, creamy texture balanced by a crisp, fresh acid. The tannin is bold yet seamless and silky, while the persistent finish gives the impression of blackberries dusted with baker’s chocolate.

Groth 2017 Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon: A breathtakingly beautiful place set among centuries-old oak trees and a patchwork of meticulously planted vineyards, Oakville has become recognized as one of the world’s preeminent wine regions. Here soil and climate coalesce, allowing us to produce elegant, age-worthy, and immensely enjoyable Cabernet Sauvignon. The fruit for this delicious wine comes from our Oakville Estate and carefully selected lots from our grower neighbors.

Dolce 2014 Napa Valley Late Harvest: With a classic blend of late harvest Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc, Dolce is the only American winery dedicated to producing a single late harvest wine. Dolce has brought forth a wine in every vintage, yet in small, unpredictable quantities; witness to the incredible difficulties presented every year in the effort to make Dolce.
