Quite a handsome volume, in wonderful condition. Begins with a four-page introduction by Lunt. This is NOT the usual, three-essay volume that was first published in the years after Thoreau's death. Lunt has instead drawn on many of Thoreau's journal entries, to create a fuller picture of his times in Maine. Kane's drawings complement the texts well. A nice gift for a Mainer or for anyone interested in diving deeper than the essays.
