Known as "The Riverside Edition," and the first collected edition of Thoreau's works. Leather bound version, with gilt letters and decoration on spine. Contains Emerson's biographical sketch, 13 essays, and 10 poems. This copy is in very good condition, with clean pages with no noticeable foxing. Slight ownership writing on front flyleaf. Leather is worn along outer spine, with heavy wear at the head of the spine, and part of the title has worn off. Nice acorn and squirrel decoration on spine. Nice!
