Spend 30 Fashion Focused Minutes with Historical Fashion Youtuber, Bernadette Banner!
Bernadette Banner is a London-based historical dressmaker and filmmaker best known for her YouTube channel, which aims to engage public audiences on the history of dress through a combination of original practice reconstruction projects and lighthearted entertainment. In 2017 she began working with the School of Historical Dress on reconstruction and illustration work for the continuation of Janet Arnold’s Patterns of Fashion series. Her own forthcoming publication, "Make, Sew and Mend: Traditional Techniques to Sustainably Maintain and Refashion Your Clothes”, will aim to introduce the fundamentals of historical hand sewing methods for the modern maker or mender.
Special Instructions
PLEASE NOTE: As Ms. Banner is located in the UK, the Zoom Conversation will need to be scheduled between the hours of 10:00 and 20:00 BST. Ms. Banner also has multiple projects in the works, so scheduling will need to be coordinated around those projects. Conversation should be scheduled by May, 2023.
The winning bidder may pick up items at Bridges Academy starting on Tuesday, April 26th from 9am to 1pm in Amanda Martin’s office.
Items that need to be mailed such as gift cards/certificates will be sent via USPS. If you win an item and would like it mailed via certified insured mail, please email amanda.martin@bridges.edu by May 4th and we will do so at your expense.
Items will be shipped at the winning bidder's expense. Shipping charges for USPS Flat Rate Boxes are as follows: $9.45 for small boxes, $16.10 for medium boxes, $21.50 for large boxes. We will try to use the smallest package size we can. In the event that your item requires additional postage, you will be notified, and your card will be charged. Bridges Academy is not responsible for items lost in the mail.
