Footlite Musicals offers  the best of Broadway presenting seven musical productions each year. A new show is on stage about every six weeks beginning in July.

• Sweeney Todd - The winner of eight Tony Awards (including Best Musical) for its Broadway premiere, this tasty, thrilling theatrical treat has simultaneously shocked, awed, and delighted audiences across the world. In this infamous tale, Todd, an unjustly exiled barber, returns to 19th century London, seeking vengeance against the lecherous judge who framed him and ravaged his young wife. The road to revenge leads Todd to Mrs. Lovett, a resourceful proprietress of a failing pie shop, above which, he opens a new barber practice. Mrs. Lovett’s luck sharply shifts when Todd’s thirst for blood inspires the integration of an ingredient into Mrs. Lovett’s meat pies that has the people of London lining up.


• Guys and Dolls - Set in Damon Runyon’s mythical New York City, returns to Footlite in a brand new, diversified production. Nathan Detroit, a gambler, tries to find the cash to set up the biggest craps game in town while the authorities breathe down his neck. Meanwhile, Adelaide, his girlfriend and a nightclub performer, laments that they’ve been engaged for 14 years. Nathan turns to fellow gambler Sky Masterson for the dough, and Sky ends up chasing a strait-laced missionary Sarah Brown as a result. Guys and Dolls takes us from the heart of Times Square to the cafes of Havana, Cuba, and even into the sewers of NYC, but eventually everyone ends up right where they belong.

• The Bodyguard - Former Secret Service agent turned bodyguard, Frank Farmer, is hired to protect superstar Rachel Marron from an unknown stalker. Each expects to be in charge. What they don’t expect is to fall in love. A breathtakingly romantic thriller and West End smash hit, The Bodyguard features a host of irresistible classics including “Queen of the Night,” “So Emotional,” “One Moment in Time,” “Saving All My Love,” “Run to You,” “I Have Nothing,” “I Wanna Dance with Somebody,” and one of the biggest selling songs of all time, “I Will Always Love You.” Footlite’s production marks the Indianapolis premiere of the musical. 


• How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying - This tune-filled comic gem took Broadway by storm, winning both the Tony Award for Best Musical and a Pulitzer Price. How to Succeed... boasts an exhilarating score including “I Believe in You,” “The Brotherhood of Man,” and “The Company Way.” A satire of big business and all it holds sacred, the musical follows the rise of J. Pierrepont Finch, who uses a little handbook to climb the corporate ladder from lowly window washer to high-powered executive, tackling such familiar but potent dangers as the aggressively compliant “company man,” the office party, backstabbing coworkers, caffeine addiction and, of course, true love.
