Mt. Washington Observatory (MWO) is a private, nonprofit, member-supported institution with a mission to advance understanding of the natural systems that create Earth's weather and climate. It serves this mission by maintaining a weather station on the summit of Mount Washington, performing weather and climate research, conducting innovative science education programs, and interpreting the heritage of the Mount Washington region. 

Each summer MWO hosts the nation's premiere hiking event Seek the Peak.  Now in its 22nd year STP will take place on July 16, 2022.  This event welcomes hikers of all ages and abilities to the beautiful White Mountains of New Hampshire.  

Participant registration starts at a $200 level earning entry into the full event, an Eastern Mountain Sports backpack, a food truck meal voucher and entry into gear giveaway offering up thousands of $ in items. The weekend events include: 

Saturday, July 16
The July 16 Mount Washington Adventure Expo, taking place at Great Glen Trails at the base of Mount Washington, provides opportunities to interact with MWOBS weather observers, leading outdoor brand gear experts showcasing their favorite products, area nonprofits sharing outdoor expertise, and like-minded folks in an energized outdoor environment.

The expo will feature music, vendor village, and food trucks. Ultimately, the weekend is an incredible gathering of like-minded outdoor enthusiasts who have come together to Seek their Peaks in support of Mount Washington Observatory.
