"Ceramic Nativity Set"--glazed earthenware clay
Sixth-grade art elective students worked together to create a nativity set based on the biblical accounts of Jesus' birth in Matthew and Luke. Each student selected one figure or piece of the scene to sculpt and glaze. Students worked individually but collaborated to create a set unified by style, size, and detail. All pieces are made from red earthenware clay and glazed. This set contains is a wonderful reminder of the greatest Christmas gift ever given--God's Son.
