Third Grade:"Sunflowers In Bloom"--mixed media on canvas (20"x24" vertical)
Third-grade students learned about Vincent van Gogh and his swirly, textured paintings of sunflowers and other scenes. Each student observed and drew a sunflower, painting with tempera paint. The flowers were then arranged in a mixed media scene of a vase full of blooming sunflowers.
