Description

Nine Suns Vintage Tasting Notes: The 2017 is inky in color with a very expressive aromatic nose of baked spices, red fruit, graphite, liquor, cinnamon, raspberry with mountain herbs. On the palate it is full body, ripe with nice dense texture. The fruit profile is dark with silky tannins and great energy, hints of French oak sweetness, liquor, black plum, black currant, cherry, vanilla with a frame of Herbs de Provence. The long, lingering finish shows powerful framed tannins with a combination of excellent acidity will allow this wine to age for 15+ years.

Nine Suns Winery Nine Suns is a family owned, boutique wine producer on Pritchard Hill, situated in the Vaca Mountains on the eastern-most range of the Napa Valley. At nearly 1,400 feet above sea level on south-sloping acreage, the vineyard sits above the fog line, basking in the morning sunshine. Twenty-two acres are planted primarily to Bordeaux varietals in intensely rich Volcanic Hambright soils which lend the wines their extraordinary concentration and uniquely Pritchard Hill spirit.
