Per Katrina: I was asked to create an art exhibit for the Moonflower Market combining the dark sky and vegetables. Instantly, the idea of turning vegetables into constellations came to me and I knew I had to make it happen! Combining garlic scapes with Hydra was the first idea…and then it went from there!

I’ve always enjoyed the illustrations behind the constellations. In these prints, I’ve taken a real constellation (The Little Dipper) and have created my own illustration to go behind it (The Little Pepper).

Katrina Lund is a Moab mostly self-taught artist who works in many mediums, but her favorite is pen & ink combined with watercolors. In addition to being a talented artist, she is a skilled teacher. Katrina was named the 2015 Moab Community Artist in the Parks.
