2 one-hour private tutoring sessions with Jamie Stevens. 

Jamie Stevens has been in Nosara since August of 2021. She and her family came here from Denver, Colorado where she was a Learning Specialist for the last 11 years.  She is a certified with a K-12 special education license, with a dual license in elementary education. She has primarily worked with students in Kindergarten through 8th grade, specifically those requiring accommodations and specialized services through an Individual Education Plan.  She is trained in the Orton Gillingham Reading Program and Do the Math Intervention program.  

As a teacher and a tutor, Jamie most enjoys fostering a love of reading in children, specifically those who feel that they won't ever be able to find success in reading. She is able to help kids break down math concepts in unique visual ways to help solve problems. She excels at building trust and rapport with her students, allowing her to challenge and push them to achieve at high levels, while keeping learning fun and engaging. She is extremely passionate about teaching and dedicated to the work she does with students.
