A Lane Tech art student in Art 1 of Ms. Custodio’s class created this piece of art. The creatures of the sea are highlighted through the contrast in colors; the dark, bold colors in the water and the pastel, light colors of the creatures.

Artist’s Statement: The piece was inspired by my love for color and nature. I’ve always been very fond of painting and photographing the variation of nature it can bring into this world of violence and hate.
