Sanderlings Wood Carving by Paul Beauregard

Item Number: 302

Description
Paul Beauregard, is a third generation wood-carver. A cabinet maker by trade, Mr. Beauregard's love of and involvement with birds for over 25 years was replaced with carving their images in wood.
His inspiration to work with wood seemed a natural inclination as during his childhood he had watched his grandfather create beautifully carved wooded eagles and horses.
Sanderlings are small, plump sandpipers with a stout bill about the same length as the head. They are often called "peeps".
The wood used by the artist is mainly eastern white pine and bass wood is used for the more detailed pieces.
This exquisite piece is of three flying Sanderlings and measures approximately 19.5" long and 9.5" high. This piece would look lovely on any mantel or bookshelf.
