Description
Spend six nights (August 22-28, 2022) in our architect-designed cozy cottage in the North Fork of Long Island. Located in Baiting Hollow, NY, this is the closest you can be to Brooklyn and Manhattan while still on the North Fork. The cottage is in a quirky (trailer park-like) community on a beautiful cliff, and the steps down to the beach are a 5-minute walk. Farm stands, wineries, and organic farms are short drives from the house. Close-by Riverhead has everything from good restaurants, an aquarium, full supermarkets, gas stations, and most chain stores you may need. The cottage is about a 10-minute drive from the Tanger Outlet Mall and Splish Splash water park - perfect for family vacations!
The cottage has two bedrooms and a loft space. Bedroom 1 has a queen size mattress and Bedroom 2, a full size bed. The loft, accessible via a ladder (safe for adults or responsible teens), has a queen size mattress. The spacious deck has plenty of seating, hooks for a hammock, a gas grill, and an outdoor shower to rinse off after time on the beach.
The beach, like most in the North Fork, is rocky so water shoes are a must. The water is often crystal clear and wave-free unless a storm passes through. We have seen jellyfish at times though they are rare at this exact beach.

Special Instructions
The cottage is only available to 372 Families or people one degree removed (friends and family of 372 families). No pets are allowed. You can arrive by LIRR train but this is best enjoyed with a private car. We will ask that you make yourself at home, while treating it with the tender loving care you give your own home. The house will be fully stocked for sleeping and with basic condiments and and we expect you to leave the house as you found it, as professional cleaners are hard to come by in that area!
