About Folded Hills Winery

Located in the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley, Folded Hills Homestead, Winery and Tasting Room is our newest and most anticipated project to date. Tucked behind the coastal mountains of Santa Barbara County, we are the closest winery to the ocean and your first stop on the way to wine country.

Our new location is the original dwelling of a simple homesteader who settled here in 1898. Along with raising animals, planting trees, and tending to row crops, he built a hillside vineyard and made pre-Prohibition wine in his basement. The story is so captivating, you can feel it speak through the walls, floors, and relics left behind. The unique restoration we have completed preserves these nostalgic characteristics as well as the organic farm and trees that surround us.

Magnum of 2019 Dragonette Cellars Pinot Noir Wine

The 2019 has begun drinking very well, right out of the gate, with super complex red and blue fruits, a touch of minerals, baking spices, fresh herbs and forest floor, along with great natural acidity. The wine is perhaps a bit more dense than the fresh, inviting 2018, but it is also layered and juicy with fantastic fruit that echoes on the long finish. Although young, the wine’s great freshness and lift provides delicious drinking already, with 8-10 years of aging potential as well. Only 550 cases of this wine were produced in 2019, and we expect this wine to be snapped up much faster than in past years.

Industrial Eats is a must-stop for food enthusiasts. This restaurant and butcher shop in Buellton serves up lunch and dinner in the heart of one of the Central Coast's best wine regions. They have both pizza and "not pizza" dishes, like smoked pheasant with pomegranate and ginger carrot soup. Industrial Eats has both wine and beer on tap to pair with your meal. Long tables invite communal dining.
