Description
A scene from the Berner Oberland with a chalet looking out towards snow covered mountains in a 27" by 33" gold colored frame. Ready for hanging. Richard Bamattre was born in Basel in 1893 and came to the United States in 1893. This painting was most likely completed during his time in Los Angeles when he worked as a set painter in the movie industry. This is one of his smaller paintings as many that hang in our California Swiss Halls are 4' by 8' or larger. Includes frame and biography of painter. Donated from Aelpler Gruppe Swiss Club Collection

Unless otherwise indicated above, items will need to be picked up by the bidder at either of the following locations/dates:
- September 3, 2022: Swiss Park, 5911 Mowry Ave, Newark, CA 94560
- September 10, 2022: San Joaquin Swiss Club, 110 North Manley, Ripon, CA 95366
Shipping and handling charges (if any) must be paid by the bidder.
Payments must be made via credit card. A transaction fee (5%) and a credit card processing fee (3.5%) will be added to the bid amount and charged to the bidders credit card.
If required under applicable law, sales tax will be added to the bid amount and charged to the successful bidder’s credit card.

Any item sold but left unclaimed by December 31, 2022, will be offered to the next highest bidder for purchase at the next highest bid amount. Payments made for unclaimed auction items will not be refunded.
