Artist Statement:
The inspiration for Stars and Stripes is not only the beach but the fabulous Festival of Arts celebration itself. A fish is symbolic in many cultures. Locally, the cod is a symbol of prosperity; it's quintessential New England. This is a celebration of Marblehead, a tribute to who we are, a symbol of where we're from and an ode to a way of life. Hang it on your wall or give it to someone you love and know you've got a little piece of the beach and Marblehead with you wherever you are.
Artist Biography:
Christiana Plum holds a fine arts degree in Interior Design from Syracuse University. She lives and loves all things coastal. She started her own residential and commercial interior design firm, Beach Plum Interiors, located in Marblehead. When she is not reimagining space she can be found meandering the north shore at farmer's markets, combing the beaches, kayaking, practicing yoga or riding her beach cruiser. She has called Marblehead home for over 15 years and is passionate about serving the community. While her name is Christiana, she's known as Iana.

Special Instructions
Pick-up of purchased cods will be July 9-14 at MacRea's Goods, 108 Washington St, Marblehead during normal store hours. The winning bidder will receive a notification email with information on pick-up time and location.
If winning bidder requires shipping, winner's credit card will be charged a separate $24.95 fee to cover USPS ground and handling. Shipping is available within the U.S. only and must be requested within 7 days after receipt of the notification email.
Any cod purchased via "Buy Now" will remain on display at the hosting business through the end of the auction, and will be available for pick-up as detailed in the winning bidder notification email.
If winning bidder has not picked up cod (or provided shipping address) within 30 days after the close of the auction, cod will become the property of Marblehead Festival of Arts, Inc.
