Premee Mohamed is a multiply award-nominated Indo-Caribbean scientist and speculative fiction author based in Edmonton, Alberta. She is an Assistant Editor at the short fiction audio venue Escape Pod and the author of the 'Beneath the Rising' series of novels as well as several novellas. Her short fiction has appeared in many venues.

A tuckerization is when an author inserts someone's real name into their story or book as a minor character. For the SFWA Auction, tuckerizations can consist of any person's name but not a business name. In addition, the winning bidder can not request the insertion of offensive or libelous names or words.
