A one-hour virtual one-on-one writing assistance session via Zoom with Ursula Whitcher. Ask a mathematician! Need help naming a fake theorem, sketching out a character's mathematical research, figuring out how to imagine extra dimensions, or brainstorming how to crack a code? Whitcher has a math PhD with a specialization in geometry and number theory questions inspired by theoretical physics, and as a research editor sees a huge swath of current mathematics.
Ursula Whitcher is a writer, poet, mathematician, and editor whose science fiction can be found in venues including Cossmass Infinities, Asimov's Science Fiction Magazine, and the Lesbian Historic Motif Podcast. Ursula has a math PhD from the University of Washington, has taught courses on subjects ranging from cryptography and ancient languages to the mathematics of string theory, and is employed by the American Mathematical Society. Unlike Galois, Ursula has never fought a duel.
