Movie Studio Cards were very popular during the 1920s to the 1960s. When you would write to a studio or celebrity, it was very common to be sent a 5x7 of the celebrity with a facsimile signature.
DESCRIPTION: In this lot are 3 original vintage movie photo cards:
David Manners received drama training at University of Toronto and began working on the stage in 1924. In 1927 Manners moved to California and began working in film in 1929. From 1929 to 1936 Manners appeared in 39 films including Dracula, the Black Cat and the Mummy and retired to do painting and write novels.
Warner Baxter began working in vaudeville in 1910. From there he went to Broadway and then to films in 1918. Baxter became a major star and is credited with 109 films from 1918 until 1950. Baxter died the following year from pneumonia
Carl Brisson was born in Denmark and became a professional boxer. Between fights he began working on stage. His first film was with Nordisk Films in 1918. Later he moved to England where he made his film debut with Alfred Hitchcock as a boxer in The Ring. Brisson made 13 films during his career retiring and going back to Denmark in 1935.
CONDITION: All 3 are in Very Good to Very Good+ with some slight edge wear and storage curves due to age.
