Description

The Japanese term sumi means black ink, and "e" means painting. It indicates one of the art forms in which subjects are painted with black ink in all possible gradations ranging from pure black to the lightest shades achievable by dissolving ink in water. However, this does not mean that everything painted in this way deserves to be called sumi-e.

This is stunning art piece is a must for any lover of art.

The painting in the frame is 28.5 inches by 25 inches

About the Artist:

Fausto Turino passed away peacefully at the age of 85. He is predeceased by his loving wife Giuseppina. He was a devoted father to Tony (Jessi), John (Silvana), and Paul, and a beloved grandfather to 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was an eternal optimist with a zest for life, a thirst for knowledge, and a healthy living enthusiast. He came to Canada in 1960 with very little and worked tirelessly to build a successful career and comfortable life for his family. He had a passion for painting, gardening, and wine-making. He cherished spending time with his grandchildren, especially playing cards and bocce. He is sorely missed by friends and family.
