The tour will be led by one of the National Museum of Ireland's knowledgeable curators, who will give special insight into the museum's collections of vast world importance and Ireland's fascinating history.
The National Museum of Ireland - Decorative Arts & History is located at one of Dublin's most impressive historic sites. The former military barracks is home to two fascinating and completely diverse yet intertwined collections. Decorative arts encompasses silver, ceramics, glass, furniture, clothing, jewelry and coins while the political history collections tell of Ireland's military and revolutionary past. Exhibition highlights include Soldiers and Chiefs, which traces Ireland's military history from 1550 in to the 21st century, and Eileen Gray, exploring the life and work of the iconic 20th century designer.
