Artist: Kate Merrick

Cape Cod native, Kate Merrick, loves everything about art and always has. From lessons in Woods Hole as a young girl to brief residencies in Santa Fe, Haiti and New Zealand, to her current position of Artist-in-Residence at Artnova Gallery in Chatham, Kate's artwork has always been inspired by the beauty she finds in nature around her. Oil, watercolor, pastel, acrylic, charcoal, pen & ink, collage - Kate delights in creating with virtually every medium and she is always eager to new ones. When not painting at Artnova, she can be found painting in her home studios in Harwich and Amelia Island, Florida.
