Artist: Elenore  "Lennie" Alickman

Lennie Alickman grew up on the suburbs of Boston's North shore. After graduating from Andover High School, she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting fron Syracuse University.

After working in banking for almost 30 years,, Lennie moved to Provincetown frim Los Angeles in 2012 to concentrate on making and developing her art.

Lennie works in many different media: white line printmaking, painting, mixed media and 3-D works. She is influenced by nature and the abundance of creatures in her back yard.

Alickman's approace to her work uses simplified representations of woodland animals, ocean creatures and the natural wonders that surround us, overlapping them again and again in a multitude of flat colors, creating a rich and complex palatte.

The artist describes her particular approace to painting as an ongoing search.

Alickman's paintings are shown at Stewart Clifford Gallery in Provincetown.

Her white line prints can be seen at Bakker Gallery in Provincetown.
