Led by Rick Collins: National Park Ranger at the Tumacacori National Historical Park, local historian and Presidio Museum Board Member.
Take a private tour of Tumacacori, Calabazas, and Guavavi Missions. Calabazas and Guabari Missions are not open to the public, and can only be visited on a reserved tour. Each mission of the Park preserves Spanish-era chapels and other features. The tour will start at Tumacacori. Then the group will drive to Calabazas Mission and visit the remnants of the chapel. Lastly, you will travel to Guevavi Mission, the location of the first Jesuit head church, or cabecera, in the Southwestern United States. You will have box lunches at that site before returning to Tucson mid-afternoon.
For a group of 10 people.
This is a day-long tour, and involves hiking some distance, walking and standing.
Great for visiting guests, or friends wishing to explore Southern Arizona!
